The Jindex Innovations
With traditional Pinch Valves, changeover of worn sleeves can be a long and complicated process. Due to the weight of the pinch valve and the mechanism of sleeve retention, traditional pinch valves require removal of the valve from the pipe and partial or complete dismantling to replace the sleeve. For valves above 5 inch (125 mm) size this process typically requires hoisting equipment and extra personnel, with hours of process downtime required........
Jindex Pinch Valve sleeve replacement is child's play!
The patented in-line sleeve replacement system reduces changeover time from hours to a matter of minutes with no requirement for extra personnel or lifting equipment. This translates directly to the bottom line by increasing plant availability.
The Jindex Pinch Valve sleeve design represents the latest in elastomer technology, with fully moulded reinforced rubber polyurethane and a new polyurethane material, ReoThane, which combines flex-life and abrasion resistance.
Jindex sleeves are available in full bore and reduced bore configurations. This allows optimized valve flow control and scope for future flow ncreases.
A simple increase or decrease in sleeve bore fitted to the original valve can often eliminate the need for a totally new valve.
We have a wide range of sleeve moulds for each valve size with varying wall thicknesses and bore sizes. The wall thickness is independent of bore size to optimize wear resistance.
These are available in most sleeve materials.
Two sleeves for a 250 mm (10") valve, one with a 250 mm (10")
bore and the other with a 150 mm (6") bore.
Fully moulded synthetic fibre reinforced sleeves are available in various rubber grades including natural, butyl, nitrile, and EPDM. The use of state of the art reinforcing has left more room for thicker wear surfaces which results in improved sleeve life compared to other pinch valve sleeves.
Opening tags are available. These may be required for valves which are normally closed for extended periods. at low line pressures.
The choice of polyurethane sleeves allows greater scope for achieving maximum sleeve wear life and resulting lower plant maintenance costs. Extensive development work over a number of years has resulted in the Jindex Pinch Valve polyurethane sleeve.
Polyurethane sleeves have successfully overcome common "troublespots" for rubber sleeves, which include
ReoThane has been developed primarily for extreme wear or corrosion applications.
ReoThane consists of a reinforced rubber-polyurethane composite resulting from a multi-step manufacturing process.
The result is a sleeve which may offer the following specific benefits for your application:
